Oil palm fruits are piled on a road-side along one of the oil-palm plantations (Elaeis guineensis). Labuk Bay, Sabah, Borneo; Malaysia; June. Oil palms oil is used in cosmetics, food and fuels, and the plantations now occupy vast territories and still expand, threatening forests. The photographer holds a typical cut bunch of fruits.
