Children at the tomb of Grace Horsley Darling (1815-1842), in St. Aidan?s churchyard, Bamburgh, Northumberland. She was the daughter of the Farne Islands lighthouse keeper, William Darling. She rowed with her father to the sinking steamboat the SS Forfarshire in 1838 -- together they saved 13 people from the wreck. She died young of tuberculosis.
