Part of the Da Zhao Temple (meaning Infinite Temple), a Buddhist monastery at Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, in the People's Republic of China. Hohhot is the capital of the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, serving as the region's administrative, economic, and cultural centre. The monastery itself was built in 1579 during the Ming Dynasty, and is a venue for Buddhist festivals held throughout the year. One of its dragon sculptures, relating to Mongol legend, can be seen in this photograph.
