Fish specimen collected by Scott's British Antarctic Expedition 1910-1913, also known as the Terra Nova expedition. It had a broad scientific programme and collected thousands of geological and zoological specimens. The fish Pogonophryne scotti was discovered by the Terra Nova expedition and named in honour of Scott. Pogonophryne scotti is relatively common in Antarctic waters and occurs at depths down to 1,000 metres.
