Suffragette In Police Van Women's Parliament. A W.S.P.U 'publicity stunt' ahead of the Women's Parliament at Caxton Hall and the deputation to the Prime Minister Asquith, 24th February 1909. The W.S.P.U went through London's streets in a 'prison van' with the letters 'E.P' (Emmeline Pankhurst) in gold and a 'mock policeman' on the back. Women in prison dress were 'let out' to chalk notices of the Caxton Hall meeting.
