Although thick mud is holding up operations in the Caen sector, a double blow by British and Canadian tanks and infantry has led to the capture of half of Troarn (22/7/44). Shows two British soldiers in position between Banneville La Campagne and Troarn. They are Pte S Clarke of Morley, Leeds and Pte H Leech of Prescott Street, Liverpool. Picture issued July 1944.
