The Paardekraal Monument, erected by the Boers at Krugersdorp after they took a vow to free Transvaal from the clutches of the British Empire (a wish fulfilled during the First Anglo-Boer War of 1880-1881). Unveiled by President Paul Kruger on 16th December 1891.
