Bar of the Royal Turk's Head Hotel, 73 Grey Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, c1955-c1980. The building that the Turks Head was situated had been built for Richard Grainger in c1837, and has been used as a location for houses, shops and a hotel. The image shows a curved bar in the corner of the room, with shelving built along the walls and supported at each end by barrels. There are bar stools on the customer side, and a mirror above a fireplace in the foreground.
