In the land of the Soviets, 1930. 'Au Pays Des Soviets'. 'By order of the government, religious buildings are systematically destroyed'. The Soviet Union actively destroyed religious sites including Russian Orthodox churches and Jewish cemeteries. This was to discourage religious practice and curb the activities of religious groups.
