It is located in the historic city centre inside the city walls in the once biggest textile factory of Prato; the Cimatoria Campolmi. In one area. there is also the cultural centre "A. Lazzerini" where one may find in the lobby as well the german word "Turbinenfabrik" (turbine factory) on the wall. The museums shows 7000 items; including textile machines and tools; but also wedding costums and fashion works of Giorgio Armani; or Yves Saint Laurent.
