Ireland; Dublin: memorial plaque at building "1 Merrion Square"; birthplace of poet and writer Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900). In this builiding; Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde was born on 16th of Oktober; 1854. He died on 30th of November; 1900; in Paris. Directly across the street; in the park of Marrion Square; there is the Oscar Wilde Memorial Sculpture by Irish sculptor Danny Osborne; erected 1997 in corner of park at Merrion Square . The sculpture was sponsored by the Guinness group. The sculpture consists of three parts. Aside this portrait; which shows Oscar Wilde with 40 years (so: 1894); there are as well a pillar with a bronze of his pregnant wife and a pillar with a bronze male torso.
