Goya's Giant Seated in a Landscape, 19th-century illustration. This artwork is by Spanish romantic painter Francisco de Goya y Lucientes, better known as Goya. In this scene, a giant seated in a landscape turns his head as if he has been disturbed from thought, perhaps by the dawning of a new day. The crescent Moon is at top right. It is thought the print dates from around 1800 to 1818, with the same figure appearing in Goya's 'Colossus'.
