Fossil of Phareodus sp. freshwater fish, which lived in the Eocene and Oligocene epochs (40 to 20 million years ago) in parts of Australia and North America. This specimen, actual length 320 mm, was extracted from fresh water sediments of the Green River Formation in southwestern Wyoming in the United States.
