All cells in the body require oxygen and other nutrients in order to be healthy and survive. If the blood flow is reduced, the cells in that part of the body will not receive enough oxygen and nutrients, which may result in cell death. Blockages can be caused by unhealthy lifestyle practices, such as smoking, unhealthy eating and inactivity.
