Cable ferry or pont over the Bree River at Malagas (also spelt Malgas), Western Cape, South Africa. Pont is a South African term (from the original Dutch) which refers to a river ferry which is guided by a cable from one river shore to the other. The pont is moved from one side of the river to the other by manually pulling the pont along the cable that stretches over the river.
