They are being welcomed home at Ellington Air Force Base (EAFB), Houston, Texas, USA, after an eight-hour flight from Hawaii. Left to right, they are: David R. Scott (commander); Alfred M. Worden (command module pilot); and James B. Irwin (lunar module pilot). The Apollo 15 splashdown in the Pacific took place at 15:45 local time on 7 August 1971.
