The eye of a juvenile yellow billed kite. These birds have amazing sight allowing them to accurately see from a distance of up to two kilometers. However they do not have the ability of peripheral vision. As a result the birds get hit by cars and sometimes fly into wires or fences. Gauteng, South Africa. February 10, 2009.
