The temple of Pashupatinath on the night of Shiva ratri. Shiva Ratri literally means 'the night of Shiva'. It is the night when Shiva himself was created by his own divine grace and Hindus all over the world celebrate this day with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. This festival is celebrated on the fourteenth day of the waning moon in the month of Falgun, (February - March). The temple of Pashupatinath in Kathmandu is considered as one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus, glorifying Lord Shiva, and so receives hundreds and thousands of worshippers during the festival from far and wide to pay their respects and homage to Lord Shiva on this sacred day. Nepal, 1997.
