This is a brass statue of 'Garuda' (the vehicle of lord 'Vishnu') in front of the Krishna temple in Patan Durbar Square. The statue sits on a stone pedestal abot 5 feet above the ground at the level of the statue of Lord Krishna that is inside the temple. According to the Hindu mythology Krishna is an incarnation of Vishnu..April 8, 2007.
