498671 Saint Joseph and Saint Joachim, c.1503 (oil on panel) (see also 498175) by D羹rer or Duerer, Albrecht (1471-1528); 96x54 cm; Alte Pinakothek, Munich, Germany; (add.info.: Husband and father of the Virgin Mary; inside left wing of the \'Jabach Altarpiece\'; the central panel of this has been lost and only the wings have survived; the outside left panels depict the story of Job (now in Frankfurt at the St瓣delsches KunstInstitut and the right panels depict two musicians, one whom is a self portrait of the artist (now at the Wallraf-Richartz Museum in Cologne); the two inside panels (now in Munich at the Alte Pinakothek) depict saints; triptych probably commissioned by Frederick the Wise (1463-1525) for his palace at Wittenberg to commemorate the end of the plague in 1503; called \'Jabach\' altarpiece because later owned by the celebrated art collector, Everhard Jabach (1618-95);); German, out of copyright.
