909327 The Siege of Warwick-Castle, or The Battle between the Fellows and Licenciates, 1768 (etching) by English School, (18th century); Private Collection; (add.info.: In 1767 Dr William Hunter lead disgruntled licentiates of the Royal College of Physicians to disrupt a committee meeting at its Warwick Lane premises in protest at their exclusion from office. Only graduates of Oxford and Cambridge could be elected to Fellowship, thereby excluding non-conformists unable to subscribe to 39 articles.
