The present plate is from a book called the \'The Dialogus Creaturarum,\' in which conversations between the sun and moon and various animals are related and illustrated. The work was first printed by Gerard Leew at Gouda, Holland, in 1480. Each dialogue is set off with cuts in the style of the present one; and the work is by no means the least interesting amongst the Dutch examples.
