The postcards were printed in around August 1912, following a successful exhibition that March by the radical new Donkey\'s Tail artistic group. Six of the March exhibitors contributed designs: Goncharova (11 images), Mikhail Larionov (14 images), his brother, Ivan Larionov (3 images), Vladimir Tatlin (3 images), Aleksandr Shevchenko (3 images) and Nikolai Rogovin (1 image).
