Father had earned about one dollar 73 cents for 10-hour day picking peas. Oldest daughter one dollar 25 cents. This had to cover transport to fields 20 miles away. Mother wants to return to Oklahoma "I want to go back to where we can live happy, live decent, and grow what we eat." Father unwilling "We can\'t go the way I am now.
