Refugees From Tibet -- Groups of refugees from communist invaded Tibet, are dance and begging their way through India. Here are seen members of one such group of Tibetans, dancing in a street in New Delhi. They had trekked from Western Tibet, dancing their way for daily bread. They attract attention by singing tribal songs. They then place their superfluous garments in the centre and dance round. The group dance is followed by a solo dance by the male leader, who whirls round and round at terrific speed. The youngest of the girls then goes round with a begging bowl. The refugee groups plan to go to the hills during the summer and get down to the plains in the winter. December 28, 1950.
