The Highest Point in the World at which Photographers have ever been taken (The Mount Everest Expedition: "The Times" Service) A panorama of the other mountains of the Everest group taken by Mr. Somervell from the same point on Mount Everest as picture No 73 - at a height of 28,000 feet above sea level. About the view from his point Mr. Somerwell wrote: "Around we saw a perfect sea of fine peaks, all giants among mountains, all as dwarfs below us. The view, indeed, was indescribable, and one simply seemed to be above everything in the world." August 22, 1924.
