Princess Elizabeth and Lieut. Philip Mountbatten, R.N. formerly Prince Philip of Greece, where engagement is announced today posed, for their first engagement pictures at Buckingham Palace. For the pictures the Princess wore the dress of yellow daffodil silk of the lovely diamond of her engagement ring, flanked on each side by baguette diamonds, gleamed in the soft light. July 10, 1947.
