King And Queen Visit A.A. - The Queen watching gunners handle 3.7 inch shells when she visited anti-flying bomb sites. What caught the eye of the two soldiers is out of the picture - but the Queen shared the joke. The King and Queen, while on a visit to A.A. gun-stations which are in action against the flying bombs in the South of England, saw a flying bomb brought down partly by a fighter pilot and partly by gunfire. July 12, 1944.
