No Transport Problem Here. The camel-cart, ancient mode of transport, contrasted with the modern bridge and telephone pole. A picture as a Native trader drives into Aden. The busy port and naval bane of Aden the entrance to the sun-drenched Red Sea, would hale meagre transport facilities without the aid of the ubiquitous camel. Aden is a busy importer of salt and cigarettes from the surrounding islands and inland areas, and the camel is an ideal beast-of-burden, well suited to the terrific heat. January 22, 1947.
