Hangrave Hall Treasures For Sale - Hengrave Hall, near Bury St. Edmunds, built by Sir Thomas Kytson circax 1525, having been acquired by the Sisters of the Assumptions for use as a school, the contests are now to come under the auctioneer's hammer. Sir John Wood bought the Hall in 1897, and among the contents is furniture of Elizabethan and Jacobean periods, 18th. century English, a fine series of early English and Continental porcelains, as well as a collection of Royal Worcester enamels, and portraits of the Kytson family, etc. September 15, 1952.
