"Popular Carriage" Exhibition -- Part of the Queens carriage G.W.R. 1874 A mounting of original panels and furniture from this famous saloon, it was last in service in 1910 for the funeral of King Edward VII. The table was graciously lent by H.M. the Queen. It was originally in the 1874 Royal Saloon. Following the success of their two historical exhibition in coronation year, the British Transport commission is opening a new exhibition at Euston Station, London, tomorrow, called "Popular Carriage". It traces the evolution of road and rail carriage design through two centuries by means of models and specimens of coaches, buses and railway carriages. April 21, 1954. (Photo by Topical Press).
