Patan, Nepal - 12 October 1984 The historic city of Patan is the third largest in Nepal after Kathmandu and Pokhara. It is located in the south-central part of Kathmandu Valley, just next to Kathmandu, and you can easily walk there from that city across the Bagmati River. Durbar Square is its historic and cultural centre. Note: Shot 33 years ago, this image is subject to analog photographic limitations of its time. However, these images have - I believe - historic and cultural value due to their age, the relatively untouched nature of Nepal at the time, and the subsequent wholesale destruction of many of the spots visited by the October 2015 earthquake.
