The watercolour is linked to the paintings "Akte im Wald (kleine Fassung)" and
"Akte im Wald (gro遝 Fassung)" that were created between 1933 and 1935 (cat. rais. Gordon;
cat. rais. no. 970 and 971); and to the 1933 colour woodcut "Drei Akte im Walde" (cat. rais. Gercken; cat. rais. no. 637).

A copy of an expertise by Dr. Wolfgang Henze; administrator of the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Archive; Wichtrach-Bern; of April 29th 1989 is available.
