UNUSUAL LARGE PAIR OF CLOISONN?VASES WITH DRAGONS.
Japan. First half of 20th century.
Cloisonn?with silver wires on copper. Each with three large; entwined dragons; one of them seizing the flaming pearl. The dark green background with aventurine effect forms a good contrast to the dragons in light blue; light green and brown-red. Below the rim and on the foot each a complex leaf border. Such large vases acquire much knowledge and long experience. Height 97cm. Condition B/C. Restored; small loss.Art trade; Van Ham.
