Poland; city of Szczecin (former German Stettin); Waly Chrobrego (former German Hakenterrasse; English Haken Terrace): Sculpture "Herkules im Kampf mit Nessos" ("Heracles in fight with Nessus"); created 1913 by sculptor Karl Ludwig Manzel; in frotn of river Oder and Northeast Marina; The iconic landmark Waly Chrobrego was built from 1900 to 1914 by Wilhelm Meyer-Schwartau on the area of former Fort Leopold at the Western bank of river Oder (Polish: Odra). It was named "Hakenterrasse" to honor Hermann Haken; from 1878 to 1907 mayor of Stettin (Szczecin). The sculpture in the center of the terrace was added in 1913.
