SMALL GOBLET IN THE SHAPE OF A PINE; RHINOCEROS HORN
China. Qing period. 18th Century.

Rhinoceros horn; darker and mat shimmering on the inside; light brown and shiny polished on the outside. Rectangular at the lip from a round foot. The surface with stylised bark of a pine; the handle in the shape of a gnarly twig with round tuffts of needles. The matching stand of dark hardwood in pierced carving showing pine twigs. Height 4 cm (with base 7;1 cm); 9;6 cm x 6;4 cm. Condition A.
