The cruciform hilt is studded with gilt brass; the ebony handle has the shape of a handle; the hilt bud ends in a long grip ring and is decorated with radiating lines; engraved crucifixes and embossed acanthus leaves; the grip is grooved crosswise; beneath it is a band with overlapping circles in relief; the rectangular pear block is engraved with cross flowers and ends in a straight pear bar with arms in the form of extended hands with a wreath around the wrist and on one side a ring around the index finger from which a chain as a fist brace to a brass ring soldered to the hilt knob runs.
