Mitra from a grenadier of the VOC; headgear of black-headed red and indigo blue cloth. Edged with (worn) goldgalon; on top small hanging brush of supposedly gold thread. Front yellow metal front plate ajour beaten; on which the Dutch lion; with in its claws sword and bundle of arrows; above the stadtholder's crown. Below the lion are the letters V.O.C; flags crossed around the lion. Remnants of fire gilding on the plate and on a grenade (ornament) hanging on the plate. Grenade originally attached to the left (see must in the fabric).
