Strip of bobbin lace with wavy double leaf garland and loose rosette flower; Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Mechelen lace. The pattern consists of a double and regularly undulating leaf garland; which ends at the top in a branch with three small flowers. A few scattered flower branches and a separate rosette flower above the pendulum. Along the lower edge under the wave top one flower stem with elongated leaves; which form a small cartouche. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground. The full work I made in linen with a few cut-outs and thicker and shiny contour threads. Between the double pendulum and in the small cartouches; a few different decorative soil were used sparingly. The top and bottom edges of the strip are finished straight; with picots along the bottom. One short side is finished with a hem.; anonymous; Vlaanderen; c. 1740 - c. 1760; linen (material); Mechlin (lace); l 15 cm x w 4 cm
