Strip of bobbin lace with flower with pointed petals and quadruple rosette; Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace; Cluny lace. The repeating pattern on the center line of the strip consists of alternately a flower with eight long pointed petals and a four-lobed rosette made with four concatenated circles. Along the top of the strip lies a similar but flatter four-lobed rosette directly above the flower. And right above each rosette on the center line; along the top of the strip; is a triangular field. Connected circles form a scalloped edge along the underside. Most of the motifs are made in linen and are largely provided with thick contour threads. The petals are made in shape. Shapes are also used to make thick dots in the linen work; including the flower heart and the circular motifs in the rosettes and the border along the underside. The motifs are connected to each other by pictured braids. The top of the strip is finished straight. Along the underside; bows have been made with picotised braids with which the scalloped edge is finished.; anonymous; Belgium (possibly); c. 1850 - c. 1899; linen (material); Cluny lace; l 16.5 cm x w 10 cm x; 7 cm
