He wears the insignia of the Golden Fleece. A crown to his left. On the other side; in an oval medallion the text: VIVAT / CAROLUS / III / REX / HISSPA / NIAE. To the left of the portrait two drums with drum sticks; to the right a crowned helmet with a closed visor above two crossed swords. Symmetrical war trophies amidst leafy vines around the scenes.
