Condition: dented at the rear; bottom filled in and closed with brown wax. Note: It may be a wax casting of a model in terracotta for a relief composition; of which this figure was a part. Perhaps the figure represents a Jewish scholar. Similar figures appear in reliefs of Giambologna.
