Her gaze rests on her son; lying on a shroud; who has just been laid on her lap by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. Christ's left arm is supported by Mary's shoulder; one of Maria's coast is his hand. The seated Mary; on the left in the foreground; embraces Christ's right arm with both hands. To the left behind Maria stands Johannes and holds his hand to his face; which is full of sorrow. Behind Nicodemus (?) Stands Mary Magdalene; holding her ointment jar against her breast. The woman in the foreground wears a second with wide arm slits over a long-sleeved robe and a belt around her waist; on the head she has a cap with frowned edges; ending in a lamfer from behind and draped around her neck and over the cap. The remaining women wear a long-sleeved dress with a belt around the waist and coats that are pulled over the head. Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea wear a cloak with long; narrow sleeves and a closed cloak with turned back; wide sleeves and a shoulder cloak with a hood. Nicodemus also carries a bonnet. Johannes is dressed in an undergarment and a cloak closed with buttons. The hairs and beards of the figures are strongly curled; Christ's body supported by Mary; others present; descent from the cross: Christ is tasks down from the cross; usually by Nicodemus and Joseph or Arimathaea who are standing on the ladders (both arms of Christ detached); anonymous; c. 1440 - c. 1450; walnut (hardwood); h 44.2 cm x w 42.3 cm x d 17 cm
