Capt. Wilkins Flies Across The North Pole -- The Lockheed-Vega Monoplane taking off from Fairbanks Alaska, with Capt. George H. Wilkins and Lt. Eleson in the cockpit, on their first leg of flight across the North Pole. It became known that they flew from point barrow and landed at Baldmansocira Island in the Arctic Zone.
