World's Largest Land-Based Bomber -- The world's largest land-based bomber, Consolidated Vultee XB-36, is being readied for its initial ground tests. The bomber is a pusher type Aircraft powered by six 3,000 horsepower Pratt & Whitney engines, has a wing spread of 230 feet, and a fuselage length of 163 feet.
