SHIBAYAMA VASE WITH DRAGONS.
Japan. Meiji period (1868-1912).

Wood with gold lacquer; Shibayama inlay (mostly lost); silver mounted (partly bent) with enamel. Height 20cm.

Condition:
Very obvious traces of age and wear.
Some Shibayama inlays are missing.
Silver fittings buckled at the neck and foot.
Silver inlays on the vase bent.
Neck a little loose and wobbly.
Vase a little slanted.
Silver darkened.
