Typical for Faliscan ceramics is the dark brown clay called impasto; which gives the genus its name. Chimera-like mythical creatures are scraped into the surface on both sides: winged horses with a goat's head growing from their backs. The deepened surfaces were originally filled with red. The band-handles are decorated with incised ornaments. They are each crowned by two ram heads; three of which are modernly supplemented. Allegedly this Kantharos was found together with a small female skull. Location and possible further grave goods have not been handed down.
