City of Barletta: Castello di Barletta (Barletta Castle); detail with ravelin and bridge to main entrance; Castello di Barletta was built from 11th century to 18th century. Main works happened in Normannic times 1046 - 1194 and im times of Staufer dynasty 1194 - 1266. Further works were realized under Anjou 1266 - 1424; Aragon 1442 - 1501; and Spain 1504 - 1707. The castle was restored 1973 - 1987 and houses the museum of local history. Until 2002; the park and garden in front of the castle was restored and named Giardini Fratelli Cervi.
