Local anaesthetic being injected into the buttocks of a patient prior to a transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS). TAMIS is a procedure where an endoscopic surgery port is placed into the anal canal. Instruments are passed through the port and into the rectum or colon where they are used to remove a polyp (small growth).
