Fight on the roof between the two rivals Genpachi and Shino on the Horyukaku, A fight between brothers Inuzuka Shino and Inukai Genpachi on the roof of the Horyukaku pavilion. This print depicts a section from the story 'The Adventures of the Eight Dogs of Satomi' (Nanso Satomi heels), written between 1814-41 by Takizawa Bakin. It tells of the eight brothers who had Princess Fuse as their mother and a dog as their father. After losing sight of each other and many adventures and battles later, they recognize each other again by their tattoos.(lower part of vertical diptych).
